Alexis Li

Alexis was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to the Netherlands in high school where he studied at the International School of Amsterdam. Alexis grew up in a family with a passion for real estate through both of his parents; his father, an award winning AIA architect, shared Alexis’ attention to design and his mother, a savvy real estate investor, taught him the fundamentals of the business and how to find unique properties with value potential.

After moving back to the states, Alexis pursued a degree in film. Throughout his subsequent 15 year career in the industry, and as a member of the International Cinematographers' Guild, he has lived in Santa Fe, Los Angeles, and most recently splitting his time between Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and Rhinebeck.

In addition to living in different parts of Brooklyn, Alexis’ experience in film has exposed him to almost every neighborhood in the city. When not in a studio setting, Alexisalways appreciated exploring and learning about all the details of NYC he was exposed to while filming on locations. Seeing opportunity in certain areas, he began investing in real estate in the Hudson Valley, developing and selling a few notably successful rental properties, and eventually moving to an 1800s farmhouse in Rhinecliff to raise his daughter. Throughout the process Alexis realized his passion for real estate and was inspired to help others find their dream home or ideal investment property as well.

Now at Atelier, Alexis is expanding his 14-year real estate practice to include the neighborhoods and communities in NYC that he knows so well. With a critical eye and an impressive track record, Alexis delivers exceptional results. He is a dedicated advocate committed to his clients and developing the trust and valued relationships that are the crux of his business.

In his free time Alexis enjoys composing images through his many lenses, riding his vintage BMW motorcycle, cooking, reading in new places, exploring new watering holes, and mornings with Yoga Tim.
